What would be a good project in the food science category for an 8th grade science fair project?

Question: I'm having trouble deciding what I should do for my experiment, but I would like to do something related to food science. Thank you to all who supported!

maybe something to do with acidity. like the classic baking soda and vinegar thing, but try different food items such as tomatoes or lemons. another idea is to test the fat leavel of food using fire. if you hold a flame under a peanut, it will burn until the fat is all melted,

Poplar Bluff school leaders get laptops for students

A digital conversion is on the way for Poplar Bluff public schools. Administrators say they are on a mission to put a laptop in the hands of every 7th – 12th grader by the 2014-2015 school year.
"We feel this will take our students into the 21st century," said Superintendent Chris Hon. "Eventually we don't want kids taking home six textbooks, just one Macbook."
After studying programs in North Carolina Schools, Hon made the move to bring the Macbooks to the Junior High School. Right now they have 100 and the pilot program rotates the software among the 8th grade students.
"We know we are one of the first schools in the Southeast Missouri area to do this," said Hon. "We want to compete with any school globally and prepare our kids for college. It's so awesome to see how excited our teachers and students are. We think we are going to see positive outcomes in discipline, graduation, student performance and also how they apply all these things to higher level skills.
