Diet Coke gives me nausea and headaches?

Question: Whenever I drink diet coke, or any other "diet" cola such as pepsi I get nauseated and I get headaches. I asked a doctor about it

I said "whenever I drink diet coke I get nauseated and get headaches"

he said "well then dont

Answer: It's this ingredient in the whatever "diet" food that you're consuming - Aspartame. Like euphoric_cooking said, it's the artificial sugar that contains Aspartame that can do something to the nerves that causes headache in some people.

I get this same problem,

When they make diet drinks they use an artifical sugar - and its the artificial sugar thats used to make it taste sweet that my stomach and head dont agree with.

And hey really, how much can a Koala bear?

Vegan violence is enough to turn me off a diet of lentils

Last week, they launched what Barker claims is “not a manifesto” at the Legatum Institute, the think tank run by Jeff Gedmin and Anne Applebaum. The 2020 Conservatives want to work on social mobility, the green economy, and transparency in Whitehall. Their star turn will be Andrew “Plebgate” Mitchell, explaining why Britain must keep its generous overseas aid budget. That should ensure the group a few headaches. Sorry, I mean headlines.

• I like the pop musician-turned-TV scientist Brian Cox. But despite his puppy-dog eyes and Beatles’ haircut, I’m tired of science dominating the “serious television” schedule. Friends in the BBC explain that Cox’s series draw a youthful audience — the El Dorado of programme-making. But to grab young viewers, TV bosses don’t need to explore the cosmos. There is a cheaper and equally intelligent alternative, closer to home. Our 19-year-old came home last Sunday with stars in his eyes: he’d spent the evening at the Royal Festival Hall, listening to poets reading from their work as part of the TS Eliot Prize. More than 4,000 (mainly young) people packed the hall as Simon Armitage and others read their work. Armitage boasts eyes as brown, hair as long, and an accent as northern as Prof Cox’s. A TV series beckons, surely.

A few changes… « Made by Mum

Have you ever made a radical lifestyle change? I don’t think I ever have. Like most people, I’m not good at sustaining new habits. I never bother with New Years resolutions on the basis that I will never stick to them. But somehow, last week, I decided that I was going to give up white flour and, since then, I don’t think I’ve had any. This is a very strange state of affairs.

As you will know if you have read previous posts on this blog, I like to bake and I like to eat the results of my baking, see here , here and here . I’ve never been one to turn down cake, or scones, or a nice, freshly made sandwich. This week I have said “No thank you” to each of these and truthfully, it hasn’t felt like a hardship.

So what precipitated this change of diet? I had a bit of a ‘light bulb moment’ last week while doing my shopping, a ‘moment of clarity’ if you like. I decided that something could do something about it. It sounds simple doesn’t it?  So many people swear by cutting out wheat and dairy that I thought it must be time to give it a try. I figured that I could do it as a late ‘give something up for Lent’ activity, as there are only a few weeks left....

Trying AdvoCare: Join Me « jointeamwhitney

Totally run down. Tired all the time. Overweight and depressed. Yo-Yo dieting and falling off the wagon. All these words described me BEFORE taking AdvoCare products.

I am a teacher of 6th grade students and a mother to preteen twins.

In the classroom, I had no energy to keep up with my 120 students. Icame in tired to work and stayed tired throughout the day. Before work, I would grab a 44 oz diet soda at the gas station and after work, another 44 oz diet soda, with a few cans of diet soda in between. I felt the caffeine would keep me going but it seems it really dragged me down.

At home with my twins, I would walk in the door and hit the bed for a short nap. I was EXHAUSTED! I would then drag myself to their soccer, basketball and volley ball practices and nod off on the sidelines and in the car as they practiced. Once home, we would eat dinner and it would take everything I had to not go to bed before them.

Then, the teacher next door to me introduced me to the 24 Day Challenge. The next Day I got started as a distributor under a long-time friend and Sponsor. I decided that day would be my first day on the Challenge and the last day drinking diet soda. I was skeptic but excited at the same time. I knew from the past, giving up diet soda would make me grouchy and give me headaches. Little did I know, Spark would be my life saver!!! Spark has given me the energy I never had.  2-3 8oz Spark drinks gets me through the day better than 88+ oz of diet soda. My students noticed Day 2 of me drinking Spark, I was a more energetic teacher. I love the energy it gives me. I notice I am more alert and alive than I have been in years! I love coming to school now every morning to reach and teach my 6th grade students!
