India: Chamfered against genetic engineering
Numerous organizations protest in India on Saturday, 30 January, with an one-day chamfered against the planned introduction of genetically altered Auberginen (Brinjal). Also cabinet members of individual Federal States support the action. The authority responsible for Genfood permissions already approved the cultivation, but the Federal Government agreed so far not finally.
