Prison food manager fired, $500,000 found in home (KATU Portland)
Farhad Monem, 48, and his wife, Karen, 43, are accused in federal court papers of accepting at least $675,000 in kickbacks and bribes from three food companies. Federal agents reportedly found more than $500,000 in cash at the couple’s home and in their bank safety deposit box.
